Donald Judd (born Missouri 1928, died New York 1994) was an American artist and art critic commonly associated with Minimalism. His work as painter, sculptor, writer and furniture designer helped to revolutionise art making in the latter half of the twentieth century and his artistic legacy continues to be widely felt. The Chinati Foundation, based in Marfa, Texas, has extensive holdings of Judd's work on display, as well as hosting exhibitions by other artists.
