Gilbert (b. 1943, Dolomites, Italy) & George (b. 1942, Devon, UK) met and studied in 1967 at St Martin’s School of Art, where, in 1969, they became living sculptures. Their art is represented in major public institutions worldwide. In 2005 they represented Great Britain at the 51st Venice Biennale. In June 2012, the gallery organised an exhibition of Gilbert & George’s Bad Thoughts series (cat.).

Gilbert & George live and work in East London.
