Jonas Wood (born 1977, Massachusetts) paints the world he sees around him; interiors, still lifes and portraits make up much of his oeuvre. Combining a style referencing Pop Art with an unique take on scale and proportion, Wood’s paintings explore the everyday from often overlooked angles. His series of sports paintings - tennis courts, basketball players and athletic equipment - are part romanticised images of American leisure, part exploration of figures and spaces.

Wood lives and works in Los Angeles.
