Jeff Elrod (b. 1966 in Dallas, Texas) is best known for large-scale abstract paintings that combine the use of new digital technologies with more conventional painting methods. Elrod’s use of these seemingly opposing techniques both investigates and challenges the traditional role of the painter and studio practice.

His works are held in many important private and public collections including The Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
